Move to California

Last year in November after Thanksgiving we moved to California from Boston. It was a big move for us. Have been in Boston for nearly 7 years and I was emotionally attached to it.

Loved my evening walks in downtown. Miss shopping in downtown crossing. Missing the food trucks in downtown near my office. Most of all I miss all my friends and colleagues.
But since Anil got a nice job here we had to move for his career.

After we bid farewell to all our friends and neighbors moved with teary eyes here. Aarush is so small but i felt after moving here he also missed his daycare (YMCA of Melrose) and friends from Boston.

After moving here we came to know I was pregnant with Tanvi. So apart from adjusting to new culture and place I had to start coping with my Pregnancy too. But before I knew at 39 weeks we had Tanvi in July 2013. She is the apple of my eye. Never knew I could be so happy seeing someone so small and cute. Aarush was also very delighted to be a big brother wanted to show off his sister to everyone.

Before we realized Tanvi is 1.5 year old. Her little actions make us all smile and run to hug her. Also Aarush has grown up will be 5 this month. Understands lots of things and helps around the house. But asks lots of questions for which my standard answer is "God made it like that or We need to ask God."

Its almost 2 years since we moved to California now. We had many life changing events after moving here. Anil loves it here. Aarush doesn't care much as he is still very small to remember his Boston days. But still somehow I miss Boston. You will be surprised to know I miss the snow too. Here there is no change of seasons. All days feel similar irrespective of weather. I think slowly I will also start take a liking to this place soon. Hopefully very soon.

Starting a blog finally

I always wanted to start a blog of mine since my first pregnancy three years ago but got to it. You can say that I was lazy or had no time with new baby, etc.

But this time I wanted to start one again during my second pregnancy but never did but finally got time today while nursing Tanvi to start one. Hopefully I will be able to keep posting from time to time.
